The group was active in the years 1980–1985 and has later been reunited for various gigs. At the split in 1985, the band consisted of vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Kajsa Grytt, keyboardist Malena Jönsson, bassist Liten Falkeholm, drummer Nike Markelius and cellist Sebastian Öberg (from Fläskkvartetten).

De gjorde tre plattor på MNW (Tant Strul -82, Amason -83 och Jag önskar dig -84) samt en rad singlar, varav ett urval finns med på de Tant Strul avslutade dock sin karriär på ett värdigt sätt i Roskildes näst största tält inför 10 000 personer.
